Emma Grace Scorpio-Drake is the daughter of Patrick Drake and Robin Scorpio. She was born via Caesarian section on November 3, 2008. However, in 2011 her birth year was changed to 2006.

Character History

Emma was conceived on December 23, 2007, when a grief-stricken Robin went to Patrick's apartment for comfort after the funeral of her cousin Georgie (the couple had recently broken up). Robin's due date should have been September 2008, but she gave birth in November 2008.

On January 21, 2008, Robin was informed by Dr. Kelly Lee that she was pregnant. Until that point, Robin planned to be artificially inseminated using a sperm donor. At first, Robin decided not to tell Patrick that he was the father of their child; he did not want to be a father, which was the cause of their most recent breakup. On February 29 Patrick confronted Robin with the truth, knowing that he was the father of her unborn child (which Robin confirms). The newly-reconciled couple had an ultrasound, which showed that they were expecting a daughter on October 12, 2008.

On October 31, Robin went into labor during her wedding to Patrick. After a few anxious moments, Emma was delivered healthy on November 3. She had a cut on her ear, however, and because Robin was HIV-positive her parents fear that Emma was exposed. Test results later proved that Emma was HIV-negative, much to their relief.

No godparents have been picked, although Robin asked Spinelli to be Emma's honorary uncle. Patrick and Robin eventually married, but without Emma in attendance. In February 2009, when Emma came down with a fever she was left in the care of an alarmed Maxie. With Johnny Zacchara's help, Maxie brought Emma to the hospital where she was diagnosed with pneumonia. Emma was later cured by the "power of a mother's love".

On Emma's first birthday, Josslyn Jacks was born. In August 2010, Emma and Robin went to visit Emma's grandmother in New York City. On August 17, they returned to Port Charles. On August 20, Patrick and Robin arrived home expecting to see Emma. Instead, the babysitter told them that Dr. Niles took Emma out for ice cream (without permission from Emma's parents). Robin and Patrick searched all of Port Charles for Emma. When Patrick was on the phone with Robin, he walked into his house and saw Lisa with Emma. Patrick informed Robin that Emma was safe at home, and put her to bed. Patrick then accused Lisa of kidnapping and ordered her to never come near his family again.

On September 7, 2010 Emma and Robin moved into Mac Scorpio's house for protection against Lisa. In October (when Lisa was released), Emma suddenly went missing. Later she was discovered around the corner, unharmed. Robin blamed Lisa, although she had no proof. It was later shown that Lisa was the culprit, trying to "gaslight" Robin. In late March and early April 2011, Patrick and Robin began to attend marriage counseling sessions and hired Kristina to be Emma's babysitter. On November 3, Emma turned four. However, in August Emma was seen as a four-year-old child.[1]

Josslyn John Jacks is the daughter of Carly Corinthos and Jasper Jacks. She was born on November 3, 2009.

Character History

Josslyn is the younger half-sister of Michael and Morgan Corinthos, and the first granddaughter of Bobbie Spencer and Jane Jacks. Her godparents are Jason Morgan and Lulu Spencer. Her middle name, "John", is a tribute to her paternal grandfather John Jacks.

In April 2009, Kelly Lee told Carly she was pregnant and that it was a very high-risk pregnancy; Carly needed to avoid stress. The baby was due in November. On October 6, after dreaming about her grown daughter, Carly announced to the family that the baby will be named Josslyn John Jacks.[2] On October 29, Carly was kidnapped by Claudia Corinthos and went into labor. Carly escaped after causing a car crash, and made her way to a cabin. Claudia found her and helped Carly through Josslyn's breech birth, delivering her on screen during the November 3 episode. Afterwards Claudia tried to steal the baby but was stopped when Michael happened upon their car, heard Carly's screams and clubbed Claudia with an ax handle, killing her.[3] Josslyn was born on Emma Drake's birthday (November 3).

Both Michael and Morgan were protective of their little sister; Morgan went as far as sabotaging Carly and Jax's cars on Thanksgiving so they would spend Thanksgiving together for the sake of Josslyn. Josslyn was christened on January 29, 2010 with Jason Morgan and Lulu Spencer as her godparents.[4]

Franco approached Josslyn in the park while Jax had his back turned. However, Franco did not harm Josslyn and after Franco left, Josslyn was safe in Jax's arms. On December 15, 2010, Carly came home to find Josslyn with Jax's brother, Jerry (a criminal). Jerry later said that he would not harm Josslyn, but that he would kill Carly if she got in the way. During the week of March 14, 2011 Josslyn was taken to the hospital, where her parents were informed that she has a rare form of cancer with tumors on both kidneys. After Carly learned that Jake Spencer was on life support and his organs were viable, she went to his biological father (Jason Morgan) and asked for Jake's kidneys. Jason consulted Elizabeth Webber and Lucky Spencer (Jake's parents); with encouragement from Lucky, Elizabeth agreed to the kidney donation and saved Josslyn's life.

Soon after Josslyn recovered, Jax began his mission to obtain sole custody of her. However, Carly was only willing to share custody. Jax, afraid of Josslyn's life being in danger (because of Sonny and Jason), sued for sole custody. Carly and Jax met with their court-appointed mediator on July 6, and Carly lost her temper with the mediator because of she accused Michael of being a danger to Josslyn. On July 19, Carly received full custody of Josslyn after Jax was arrested for assault and drug possession (after he was framed by Sonny).

On August 5, 2011 Jax broke into Carly's home to kidnap Josslyn and take her permanently away from Port Charles and Carly. His car broke down; Jax got out of the car with Josslyn, trying to get to the airport in a severe thunderstorm. He ended up at Robin Scorpio's house, looking for refuge from the rain. Later on, Shawn Butler (a man once assigned to protect Carly and Josslyn) found them and convinced Jax to surrender Josslyn. Shawn took her back home to Carly on August 12.

Molly Lansing-Davis[5][6] is the daughter of Ric Lansing and Alexis Davis. She was born on-screen on November 10, 2005 (although the year was later changed to 1998).[7]

Character History

Molly is the youngest half-sister of Sam McCall and Kristina Davis; all three share the same mother (Alexis Davis). She is also the niece of Sonny Corinthos, which makes her both half-sister and first cousin to Kristina.

On November 10, 2005 Molly was born on-screen in the Glencoe tunnel with the help of Dr. Robin Scorpio, after many of Port Charles' best-known residents were involved in a train crash. Through her mother she is descended from Russian royalty, although this is only alluded to. Following her parents' divorce Ric won primary custody of Molly, with Alexis having visitation rights (although Ric and Alexis later agreed to joint custody). When Ric unexpectedly moved to Los Angeles in June 2009, Molly remained in Port Charles with Alexis.

A SORASed (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome) Molly appeared on July 2, 2009, and was shown to be good friends with her similarly SORASed cousin Morgan Corinthos. She was precocious (often speaking to adults on their level) and romantic, often arranging evenings for Jason and Sam, and Alexis and Mac. She was an excellent scholar with a good pitching arm, a combination she used during a September carnival to cause all the "Dunk-a-Hunks" to fall into the water. In late October, when she and Morgan were collecting water samples for her science project, they heard someone shouting for help in a warehouse on the docks. They cooked up a rescue plan and freed Johnny Zacchara from thugs who kidnapped him. Molly was upset when her sister Kristina Davis was attacked twice by Kiefer Bauer, and when Kristina's brother Michael was sent to jail for killing his stepmother. She could not understand when she discovered Michael's father Sonny dating Claire Walsh, who prosecuted Michael during the trial. When Kiefer was accidentally killed by Alexis, his father Warren vowed revenge on Alexis and Kristina. In response a frightened Molly asked Jason to "make Mr. Bauer disappear," but Jason was unable to.

Molly, Morgan, Michael and Kristina were involved in the ski-resort bus crash during late December 2010 and early January 2011. Everyone was found, and she helped her cousin Michael by alerting the occupants of a car where they were. Shortly afterward Molly began to behave strangely, lashing out in anger for little reason. She began to research bipolar disorder, possibly thinking she suffers from it. She became convinced by a new friend (a war veteran) that she was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of the bus crash, and began receiving therapy.

After overhearing Theo Hoffman's telephone conversation at her mother's law firm, Molly discovered that he was the Balkan (an international crime lord who was after Brenda Barrett). She told Jason and Sam about her findings but was convinced not to tell anyone by the two, who reassured her that they will stop Theo before anything happens. However, when Brenda was apparently killed by a car bomb after her wedding to Sonny Molly blamed herself for not telling anyone (revealing to all that Theo is the Balkan).

On April 20 Molly called Dante, Morgan, Michael, and Kristina together to plan Sonny's birthday party. Carly, Alexis, Dante, Michael, Morgan, Kristina, and Molly were all in attendance when they threw the party for Sonny at the No Name Restaurant. In July Morgan and Molly "kidnapped" Josslyn, keeping her in a barn until Jax promised not to take Josslyn away from Carly. Their plan failed when their sister Kristina found them.

Aiden Spencer

Aiden Nikolas Spencer (born Aiden Alexei Nikolosovich Cassadine, occasionally referred to as Aiden Webber ) is the son of Lucky Spencer and Elizabeth Webber. He was born on July 19, 2010 to Elizabeth Webber and Nikolas Cassadine.

In January 2010 Elizabeth had a dream in which Jason, Lucky and Nikolas visited her in Shadybrooke, due to her pregnancy. Nikolas calls him "Stefan", instead of Aiden.

During an affair between Elizabeth and Nikolas, Elizabeth became pregnant. Since she was engaged to Lucky at the time of the affair she was not sure who the baby's father was, so a paternity test was done. Helena Cassadine switched the paternity test results, to make it appear Nikolas was the baby's father. A second (private) test was done by Nikolas but Helena switched those test results also, wanting everyone to believe that Nikolas was the father; this was part of her plan to take a Spencer by blood and raise him as a Cassadine. Aiden Cassadine was the first biological child of Lucky Spencer and the born grandchild of Luke and Laura Spencer. He is the younger brother of Cameron and Jake Spencer.

On July 20, 2010 Elizabeth and Nikolas prepared to check out of the hospital, and went to the nursery to get Aiden. When they arrived at the nursery they found Aiden's bassinet empty, suggesting that he was missing. On July 21, Lucky Spencer was called into the investigation of Aiden's possible kidnapping. Lucky put General Hospital into a lockdown; he suspected Helena of the crime, but she claimed innocence. On July 22 the search for baby Aiden continued, with Lucky and Mac Scorpio investigating. Baby Aiden's bassinet was found empty in an operating room. After Lucky and Nikolas found Aiden's bassinet a message appeared on television screens around the hospital, showing Franco saying "Hello boys and girls, welcome to Franco's funhouse". It was then suspected that Franco was the one who possibly kidnapped Aiden. On July 23 Lucky, Nikolas, and Elizabeth continued to search for baby Aiden, checking anything involving the number "66". They believed that the reason Franco took Aiden was because Aiden's hospital ID tag ended with 66 (Franco was fascinated with the number 66).

Franco took Aiden to give to his mother Karen, to raise as the son that she always wanted. He moved his mother and Aiden to Astoria, Oregon to start a new life. Franco's mother nicknamed the baby "Pablo". Lucky flew to Portland, and soon arrived in Astoria. With the help of Damian Spinelli Lucky found the house, learning from a neighbor that Karen and "Pablo" were out for a walk and should be back shortly. Lucky hid on the side of the house, and soon saw Karen and Aiden coming home. On August 6, 2010 Lucky disguised himself as a census taker, entering Karen's home. After asking "too many questions", he was ordered to leave. Lucky returned, disguised as a police officer investigating a case of a kidnapped baby. He then said that "Pablo" was really Aiden, and bluffed that he was Aiden's father. On August 9, Lucky retrieved Aiden from Karen, and returned him to Elizabeth and Nikolas.

On August 17, 2010 Aiden, Elizabeth and his brothers moved into Wyndemere with his "father". However, the arrangement did not work out and Elizabeth took Aiden and his brothers to stay in northern California with her sister Sarah. In October 2010 Aiden, Elizabeth and his brothers returned to Port Charles. On March 8, 2011, Elizabeth filed a DNA request to find out who Aiden's real father was. On March 16, she received the test results; as she is reading them, she is distracted by the missing Jake. In late March, Aiden's brother Jake was killed when he was hit by a car. Due to this, Aiden was now living with his father and his other brother Cameron.

On March 31, 2011 Elizabeth learned that Lucky Spencer (not Nikolas) was Aiden's father. On June 21, she admits to Lucky that Aiden is his son. On June 30 Nikolas and Spencer left Port Charles for Zurich, Switzerland; before leaving, Nikolas returned Aiden to Lucky and Elizabeth. In early July, Aiden went camping with Cameron and Lucky.

In November 2011, Olivia and Lulu noticed a bruise on Aiden's arm. While Lucky was in Ireland he received a message from Jake saying, "Go Home Daddy Aiden Sick Hurry". Lucky called home, and Luke answered; Lucky frantically told Luke to take Aiden to the hospital. Aiden is later diagnosed with Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. After receiving a blood transfusion from his aunt Lulu, Aiden fully recovered.

Cameron Steven Spencer (occasionally referred to as Cameron Webber) is the son of Zander Smith and Elizabeth Webber and the adopted son of Lucky Spencer. He is born off-screen on May 11, 2004.[8] Having slept with Zander in October 2003 while still married to Ric Lansing, Elizabeth learned that she was pregnant. Ric and Elizabeth agreed to raise the baby as Ric's but when their marriage fell apart, she went to California to have the baby instead. Elizabeth returned on June 18, 2004, with her baby, naming him Cameron after his late grandfather Cameron Lewis. When Elizabeth reunited with Lucky, he agreed to become Cameron's father.

On January 11, 2008,[9] a misbehaving Cameron played with matches. Liz repeatedly told Cameron to leave the matches alone, but he disobeyed her orders. After throwing a lit match into the trash can, Liz chased Cam outside. The trash can caught fire while Liz and Cam were locked outside. Liz broke a window and saved her other baby, Jake Spencer. After renovations were complete, Liz and her children moved back in. On August 17, 2010 Cameron, Elizabeth and his brothers moved into Wyndemere. However, it did not work out and Elizabeth took Cam and his brothers to stay in northern California with her sister Sarah. In October 2010 Cam, Elizabeth and his brothers returned to Port Charles.

On December 29, 2010 Cameron went on a ski trip with his Uncle Steve and other Port Charles residents (mainly children). On the way to the ski resort, the bus crashed. All survived, except for the bus driver. During the crisis Patrick Drake referred to Cameron as "Cameron Spencer", which suggested that he had taken Lucky's surname.[10] In early July, Cameron went camping with his little brother Aiden and their father Lucky. Despite Cameron's appearing on General Hospital since 2004, his birthday has never been celebrated.

Lila Rae Alcazar (born Lila Rae Quartermaine) is the daughter of Skye Chandler Quartermaine and Lorenzo Alcazar. She is named after Lila Quartermaine (Skye's biological grandmother) and Rae Cummings (Skye's birth mother). During her pregnancy Skye feared bearing a gangster's child, and fled town with the help of Robert Scorpio. Near the birth Skye called her adoptive grandfather, Edward Quartermaine, and the call was traced by Alcazar. He found Skye, but was tied to a chair by Robert and Luke Spencer. Skye went into labor, and Luke untied Alcazar. Skye returned to Port Charles; she and Alcazar soon reconciled, with Lila's last name being changed to her father's. However, it was later revealed that Skye was having second thoughts and was forced to stay with Alcazar, who vowed to kill her if she tried to take the baby from him again. In 2006 Sam McCall and Jason Morgan were on the run, and they broke into the family's home. Sam held Lila Rae and had memories of her daughter (Lila), who was stillborn. Lila Rae was uninjured in the incident, and Skye covered for Sam and Jason (who was her adoptive half-brother). Skye conspired with Jason (knowing he wanted to kill Alcazar for his own reasons), and helped him circumvent security at the Alcazar mansion on the night of the murder. Jason later killed Alcazar; Skye was shown opening the door for him to enter. Skye took Lila and left Port Charles in early 2008 to start over elsewhere. She returned in March 2010, revealing that Lila Rae was in London with her grandmother and Skye's mother Rae Cummings.

Morgan Stone Corinthos is the son of Sonny Corinthos and Carly Corinthos Jacks, who is named after Jason Morgan and Stone Cates. He was born on October 24, 2003;[11] however, his birth year was changed to around 1997 in 2009. He was christened December 18, 2003, with Jason Morgan and Courtney Matthews as his godparents. Morgan attended a private Catholic school, Queen of Angels.

In August 2010 Morgan went to see Sonny, despite his mother's wishes. Sonny talked with him, until Carly arrived. Carly sent Morgan home, and explained to Sonny that she was making up for past mistakes with Michael; she did not want Morgan to be around Sonny, due to his violent life. Carly asked Jax to adopt Morgan, and he agreed; however, they did not go through with the adoption before Jax's disappearance.

In late December 2010 and early January 2011 Morgan, Molly, Kristina, Michael and other Port Charles residents were on their way to a ski resort when the bus crashed. Michael, Taylor and others searched for Morgan, who eas missing with a broken leg. He later attended Sonny and Brenda's wedding, and this (with his later attendance at Kristina and Michael's graduation party) indicates that Carly was allowing him more contact with his father. He also danced with Molly Lansing. In July, Morgan and Molly "kidnapped" Josslyn to a barn until Jax promised not to take Josslyn away from Carly. Their plan failed when their sister Kristina found them.

In summer 2011, after Jax was presumed dead in a plane crash, Carly enrolled Morgan (under the name Morgan Benson) at a military school outside Port Charles to protect him from Sonny's influence. Carly said that Morgan was relieved that he is no longer being labeled as a mobster's son, and he adjusted well to his new school.

Spencer Stefan Nikolosovich Cassadine (born John Michael Jacks) was born on February 20, 2006[12] to Nikolas Cassadine and Courtney Matthews (although he was originally believed to be the son of Jasper "Jax" Jacks. On Courtney's deathbed, Jax told her that Nikolas was the baby's biological father. Jax kept the secret, and raised the baby as his own. Naming the baby John Jacks (in honor of his late father), Jax soon discovered that Carly Corinthos learned the truth. She agreed to keep Jax's secret, offering to help raise baby John. Robin Scorpio also learned the child's true paternity; during the baby's christening ceremony, she revealed the truth to Nikolas. Returned to his father, baby John's name was changed to Spencer Cassadine to demonstrate the conclusion of the Cassadine/Spencer feud, admitting his ties to that family via half-siblings Lucky and Lulu and stepfather Luke.

The child's great-grandmother, Helena, hired Colleen McHenry as the baby's nanny. Colleen soon developed an unrequited crush on Nikolas, growing desperate for the two of them and Spencer to become a family. In a disguise, Colleen kidnapped Spencer from a manger on Christmas Eve and changed his name. Nikolas and Emily Quartermaine went to Moscow and found Helena christening him with a traditional Cassadine name. Helena held a knife to Spencer, but Emily punched her and took the baby. Helena escaped while they waited for the authorities. Spencer returned to town with Nikolas and Emily, where a party was thrown for him.

When Nikolas began hanging out with Nadine Crowell, a SORASed Spencer introduced Nadine to their horses and helped when Nadine and Nikolas put together his train set. Spencer was rarely seen, and it was clear that Nikolas was leaving him to be raised by his nanny. Several characters commented that Nikolas appeared to be an absentee parent; since then, Nikolas was more active in his son's life. Spencer was seen in Wyndemere and at the park. When Cameron and Jake (Spencer's adoptive cousins) went to see baby Aiden, Spencer was home with a mild cold; in June 2011 Spencer moved to Zurich, Switzerland with his father. On December 22 22011, Lulu mentioned that Nikolas is in Greece.

Barbara Jean (BJ) Jones (played by Brighton Hertford) was born on October 6, 1986, the daughter of Dr. Tony Jones and his first wife, Tania Roskov. She was named Barbara Jean in honor of nurse Bobbie Spencer, who helped her mother give birth to her (Tania was alone in her apartment during a storm and power outage when she went into labor). Bobbie adopted BJ years later, after Tania died in a car accident and Bobbie married Tony Jones.

Seven-year-old BJ was left brain-dead after her school van was hit by a drunk driver in May 1994. Her father made the decision to donate BJ's organs, and her heart was transplanted into her ailing first cousin Maxie Jones. In a moving scene, Tony laid his head on Maxie's chest and listened to his daughter's heartbeat within his niece. Later, Tony sat beside BJ's body (still on the operating table); he asked her to take his own broken heart in exchange, and keep it safe. The storyline won much critical acclaim and several awards for acting and writing.

In February 2009, as part of the ABC Daytime "Go Red" campaign for women with heart disease, the storyline was reprised. Maxie fell asleep after attending the "Go Red" fashion show in New York City; while asleep she dreamed of an alternate universe, where she died and BJ lived. When she woke up, Maxie was glad to be alive. On October 6, 2011, Maxie celebrated BJ's birthday with a red heart balloon and a small stone saying "Barbara Jean Jones: Will not be forgetton". BJ was also shown in a picture.

Lila McCall (also known as Lila Morgan) was the stillborn daughter of Sam McCall and Sonny Corinthos. Her intended legal father was Jason Morgan. During the pregnancy, Sonny broke up with Sam and returned to Carly and the boys. Jason Morgan offered to help raise the baby, after learning that Sam was pregnant; they planned to marry before the baby arrived. When the baby was found to be a match for Kristina Corinthos-Davis, Alexis Davis asks Sam to induce labor so Kristina may receive the transplant necessary to save her life. During their argument, Sam went into premature labor and the baby was stillborn. Sonny allowed them to take the baby's umbilical cord for the stem cells needed to save Kristina's life.

On her headstone, Lila was named "Baby Girl McCall". The name "Lila" had been decided on after Jason’s grandmother, Lila Quartermaine, died while Sam was pregnant. Sam asked Jason if she could name her baby after Lila in honor of her (since Lila's maiden name was Morgan); Sam said there would be another Lila Morgan, and Jason told her that his grandmother would be pleased if they gave the baby her name. Jason (her surrogate father) was the only family member with the opportunity to see or hold her before she was buried. He planned her memorial service, since Sam was in no position to do it herself. After the ceremony Jason and Sam grieved for Lila together, helping each other heal.

Aleksander "Alec" Janáček Jr. (also known as Alec Scott) is the son of Brenda Barrett and Aleksander Janáček. He was born in 2007 or 2008.

Character History

In May 2011, it was revealed that Suzanne took Brenda's biological son Alec away and replaced him with Lucian, a child Suzanne took from her organization (ASEC). Suzanne kept Brenda's real son hidden from her so she could spend the rest of her life with her grandson Alec, while Brenda thought Lucian was her real son. Suzanne's plan fell apart when Brenda, with advice from her husband Sonny Corinthos and best friend Robin Scorpio, had Lucian take a DNA test to see if he was really her biological son. When Suzanne heard about the DNA test she kidnapped Lucian, taking him to San Antonio. Brenda was distraught at Lucian's disappearance; she appeared on television with her ex-lover and friend (Jasper Jacks), identifying Suzanne as Lucian's kidnapper and offering a reward for information on her whereabouts. Sonny, Dante Falconeri, and Carly Corinthos were all involved in the search for Lucian. Brenda remains unaware that Alec exists and is her biological son. Sonny, Carly, and Dante found Suzanne and Alec. After a confrontation with Suzanne, Sonny brought Alec back to Port Charles and Alec was introduced to his mother, Brenda. Alec settles in, adjusting to his new life with Sonny and Brenda. Brenda wants Sonny to adopt Alec and raise him as his own son. However, rival mob boss Anthony Zacchara began targeting Brenda and Alec as a way to get to Sonny. In early July, while heading to a Fourth of July picnic with his mother, he and his mother were caught in the middle of a shootout orchestrated by Anthony as a scare tactic. Brenda was concerned for Alec's safety, and Sonny planned retaliation. When Brenda's friend Jax became involved in a custody battle with his ex-wife Carly Corinthos over their daughter Josslyn Jacks, Brenda sides with Jax and Sonny sides with Carly; this created discord in their marriage. After Sonny framed Jax for assault and drug possession, Brenda was appalled and angry; she decided that she no longer wanted Alec around that lifestyle. She did not want Alec influenced by the mob and violence, so she left Sonny. Brenda and Alec moved out of the manor and into the Metro Court Hotel. On July 21 Alec moved to Rome, Italy with his mother.

Jacob Martin "Jake" Spencer (occasionally referred to as Jake Webber) was the son of Jason Morgan and Elizabeth Webber and the legal son of Lucky Spencer. He is the younger brother of Cameron Webber and the older brother of Aiden Cassadine. After catching her husband Lucky Spencer in bed with Maxie Jones, Elizabeth ran to Jason. A short time later Elizabeth learned she was pregnant, and had a paternity test done. After receiving the test results Elizabeth kept the father's identity a secret, letting everyone believe that Lucky is the father. Shortly after being held hostage with most of the other characters during the Metro Court robbery, Elizabeth told Jason the truth while they were stuck in an elevator. Elizabeth gave birth to a baby boy, naming him Jacob Martin Spencer (with Jason's initials "JM"), on May 4, 2007.

Jake was kidnapped from the park while Elizabeth had her back turned. The kidnapping was witnessed by Sam McCall, who froze and did nothing to stop it. Jason, who had recently murdered Lorenzo Alcazar, was anxious to go free to find his son. After Jason was released on bail, Amelia Joffe had a phone conversation with a woman named Maureen Harper. During the phone call Amelia heard a newborn baby crying in the background and, knowing that Maureen's baby died in a house fire, realized that Maureen was baby Jake's kidnapper. Jason and Amelia drove to Maureen's home, where they learned that the baby was indeed Jake. Maureen handed the baby over and revealed that Sam witnessed the kidnapping. Returning to Port Charles, Jason reunited Elizabeth with her son before he was arrested for jumping bail.

During the Black and White Ball at Wyndemere Castle, Lucky and Elizabeth got into a heated argument. Jason came in and admitted the truth, stating that he is Jake's father. Elizabeth confirms it, much to Lucky's dismay. Jake is again kidnapped by Jason's enemies, and is rescued by Jason and Sam. In September 2009, during a carnival outside the hospital, Jake was buried under a collapsed tent when his biological great-grandfather (Edward Quartermaine, suffering a heart attack) crashed his car on the midway. Jake was rushed to the hospital, but had no serious injuries.

On August 17, 2010 Jake, Elizabeth and his brothers moved into Wyndemere. However, the living arrangement did not work out and Elizabeth took the boys to stay with her sister Sarah in northern California. In October 2010 Jake, Elizabeth and his brothers returned to Port Charles. In January 2011, after visiting his brother Cam, Jake spent time with Jason and Sam.

In March 2011, Jake was struck by a hit-and-run driver. He was declared brain-dead, and placed on life support. After Carly learned of this, she went to Jason and informed him that her daughter Josslyn had cancer and needed an organ transplant. She asked Jason for one of Jake's kidneys. Lucky and Elizabeth agreed to give Jake's kidney to Josslyn. Jake's death served as the catalyst for Robin Scorpio and her estranged husband, Patrick Drake, to reunite.

There were seven suspects in the crime: Lisa Niles, Carly Corinthos, Sam McCall, Robin Scorpio, Luke Spencer, Sonny Corinthos and an unknown driver.[13] It was revealed that Luke was the one who accidentally hit Jake.[14] On April 7 Luke had a nightmare about Jake and in May, Elizabeth began to see Jake as a ghost. In June Jake was seen by Elizabeth, who then worried about her sanity; however, she also took comfort from the visions because in them Jake was happy. On August 1, Lucky sees Jake in an hallucination after being drugged.
